Degree Choices: Building a career in Finance

90% of high school graduates end up following a totally different career path from what they dreamt of when they joined college. Blame the education system, rigid minded parents and life. It’s either your cluster points weren’t adequate or you didn’t have money for school fees or both. However, at the end of the day we all get a career, not our calling, but something to take us through life. Usually, people find this ‘something’ after trying many options and wasting a lot of money and time.

Let’s take an instance in a finance career. You can decide to take a degree in BCom, Actuarial Science, Business Magt, Accounting etc. These degree as much as they are different, they could lead you to the same destination. For example, a degree in BCom (insurance option) could make you an underwriter, so would a BSc Actuarial Science. For this reason you need to consolidate your degree with a professional exam to prove specialisation. Most people however begin taking these professional papers without a clear career plan ending up with almost every qualification.

Before you begin your career development, you should ask your self exactly what you want. Do you want to be an Accountant, An Underwriter, An Actuary, Financial Auditor or an Investment Analyst. If your long term goal is to be an Actuary but you think it will take a while to achieve it, decide whether you want to go on a single path or you want diversity. If you want to build a career in Accounting, you will have to take CPA qualification. If you want a career in auditing you will need the CSIA qualification. If you want a career in insurance you might consider a DIIK qualification. If you want a career in Investment Analysis, consider a CFA. If you want a career in Actuarial Services you will have to take the Actuarial qualification. Any of these qualifications plus any of the degree above will lead you to the respective career.

You can decide to begin as soon you finish high school. The earlier the better.

Acronyms:
CPA: Certified Public Accountant
CSIA: Certified Securities and Investment Analyst
DIIK: Diploma in Insurance (Kenya)
CFA: Chartered Financial Analyst

Eminem says he’s gay in the controversial movie “The Interview”.

Well if you watched “The Interview” you know what I’m talking about. If not, here it is. The controversial movie “The Interview” cameos Eminem in a scripted interview where he says he’s gay.

Eminem was interviewed in the
film by James Franco portraying television entertainment reporter Dave Skylark.

Skylark questioned Eminem about song lyrics offensive to the elderly while his producer Aaron Rapoport – played by Seth Rogen – guided him in the interview through an earpiece.

‘I don’t necessarily rap about the things I hate, it’s more about the things I fear,’ Em replied.

“When I say things about gay people, or people think that my lyrics are homophobic – it’s because I’m gay,’ Eminem continued. The shocked Skylark Tonight host then got Eminem to clarify that he was homosexual.

‘I like men,’ Eminem said.
‘I’m more shocked that people haven’t figured it out yet. I mean, it’s kind of like I’ve been playing gay peek-a-boo,’ Eminem said.

What do y’all think people, was it a script or was mean-guy-fuck-faggots real about being a faggot??
Man, personally, I’m dead. Literally.

Nicki Minaj suffers nip slip live on TV

Nicki Minaj was left a little red-faced after she happened to suffer from another nip slip earlier this week, but this time she was on live TV and also started talking about her previous wardrobe malfunctions while blissfully unaware of her cheeky faux pas.

The Anaconda babe, who has just been announced as the new face of Roberto Cavalli, was appearing on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen when she had a little trouble with her super-low cut top.

In just a few seconds on the show, after making the introductions, fans were quick to spot that Nicki’s cleavage was spilling out of her low-cut black bustier, revealing more than she wanted.

Cohen quizzed Nicki on how she felt when her dress zip wouldn’t work, she said: “I was very panicked.”

“I contemplated not going out at all but then I would let Jessie and Arie down, and I didn’t want to do that on their moment,” she said.

Never Mock God; These Famous People Did and Died.

Many times when God lifts us high, we forget Him and we get to the extend of mocking Him. God is almighty and never should He be mocked whatsoever……….He created us and thus He has the power and right to destroy us. Below are examples of some of the famous people who mocked God and met their destruction.

Tancredo Neves (President of Brazil );

During the Presidential campaign, he said if he got 500,000 votes from his party, not even God would remove him from Presidency.
Sure he got the votes, but he got sick a day before being made President, then he died .

The man who built the Titanic:

After the construction of Titanic, a reporter asked him how safe the Titanic would be.
With an ironic tone he said: “Not even God can sink it”

The result: I think you all know what happened to the Titanic .

John Lennon (Singer):

Some years before, during his interview with an American Magazine, he said:

“Christianity will end, it will disappear. I do not have to argue about that. I am certain. Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple, Today we are more famous than Him” (1966).

Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, was shot six times.

Cazuza (Bi-sexual Brazilian composer, singer and poet):

During A show in Canecio ( Rio de Janeiro ),
while smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some smoke into the air and said: “God, that’s for you.”

He died at the age of 32 of AIDS in a horrible manner.

Marilyn Monroe (Actress)
She was visited by Billy Graham during a presentation of a show.
He said the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her.
After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said:
“I don’t need your Jesus”.

A week later, she was found dead in her apartment .

Campinas (IN 2005);

In Campinas, Brazil a group of friends, drunk, went to pick up a friend…..
The mother accompanied her to the car and was so worried about the drunkenness of her friends and she said to the daughter holding her hand, who was already seated in the car:

“My Daughter, Go With God And May He Protect You..”
She responded: “Only If He (God) TravelsIn The Trunk, Cause Inside Here…..It’s Already Full ”

Hours later, news came by that they had been involved in a fatal accident, everyone had died,
the car could not be recognized what type of car it had been, but surprisingly, the trunk was intact.

The police said there was no way the trunk could have remained intact. To their surprise, inside the trunk was a crate of eggs, none was broken .

Christine Hewitt (Jamaican Journalist and entertainer):

said the Bible (Word of God) was the worst book ever written.

In June 2006 she was found burnt beyond recognition in her motor vehicle .

God is Mighty and MUST be respected…………It doesn’t matter whether you are a believer or not……..what matters is that we all were created by God and must bow before Him.

Many more important people have forgotten that there is no other name that was given so much authority as the name of Jesus.

Many have died, but only Jesus died and rose again, and he is still alive .
